The 2024 Adelaide Fringe marks 50 years of the Adelaide Fringe Poster Competition, which has catapulted the careers of dozens of creators and created many iconic posters.
To celebrate, Adelaide Fringe is on a global search for a 2024 poster with a theme of ‘arts unlimited’.
Entries are open now to designs which capture the spirit of Fringe, channel what Adelaide Fringe means to the artist, and champion the notion that the arts is for everyone through the theme of ‘arts unlimited’.
“We invite people to step into Fringe unedited. We strive to be as inclusive as possible. At Fringe we want to make the arts accessible to all. We would love to see a poster that captures the spirit of Arts Unlimited.”
Adelaide Fringe encourages professionals, beginners and hobbyists to enter the poster competition for the chance to create the poster that represents Australia’s biggest arts festival and join many memorable designs from festivals past.
Previous designs have ranged from painted canvas artworks to vector designs and digital collages, which have been used across outdoor signage, public transport, merchandise, shopping bags and a vast array of other collateral.
The artist with the winning design for 2024 will receive $6,000 in prize money, free registration for an exhibition at Adelaide Fringe and have their work thrust into the media spotlight.
Entries are open now and close Sunday 13 August. Submit your work via the Adelaide Fringe website.
