SALA Festival

SALA Festival registrations are now open!

Registrations for the 2023 SALA Festival are now open until May 10.

The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is a statewide visual arts festival that celebrates the work of South Australian artists. Artists of any age, experience and in any medium are encouraged to register now through the SALA website.

Founded in 1998 by Paul Greenaway OAM and Sam Hill-Smith through the Australian Commercial Galleries Association (ACGA), the aim of the festival is to extend visual arts audiences.

SALA is held annually during August. SALA is hosted in over 600 venues, from sheds to cafés, offices and retail spaces to wineries, schools, public spaces, galleries and major arts institutions across the state, showing the works of over 9000 artists and reaching more than 850.000 people locally and internationally.
