Silverscreen returns at The Mercury with Emily

The Silverscreen program returns at the Mercury Cinema in March with Emily, from Australian director Frances O’Connor and starring Emma Mackey, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Emily will be playing at the Mercury Cinema on Tuesday 7 March and Friday 17 March and you can view the Silverscreen program here

Emily depicts the transformative and uplifting journey to the womanhood of a rebel and a misfit, one of the world’s most famous, enigmatic, and provocative writers who died too soon at the age of 30.

Silverscreen daytime screenings welcome old and new film lovers for conversation, connection and complimentary morning and afternoon tea. From From Cannes Film Festival winners to global hits, come along and connect with lovers of story and experience the best of classic and contemporary cinema.

Joining Emily in the Silverscreen program are 2022 Oscar nominees The Banshees of Inisherin and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, documentaries You Can Go Now and My Old School, and international features Kompromat and Margrete: Queen of the North.
