Our hit show Recipe for Love is now on CTV+!
After winning Program of the Year at the Antenna Awards, and gaining international attention, it’s now available on-demand on our streaming platform CTV+.
Recipe for Love combines everyone’s favourite TV genres—cooking and dating—as over-50s singles find love and friendship in a swipe-right world.
In each episode, one singleton is enticed by dishes prepared by two dates. After dining together, he or she chooses one date to progress with for a dessert date. On a mission to cure loneliness, producers Marion Pilowsky and Georgia Humphreys of Corner Table Productions wanted to create a space where over-50s have the chance to create new connections offline.
“We both love dating and food shows,” said Marion. “So we thought why not combine them and create something that was an antidote to some of the crazier, controversial shows out there. We also discovered that the over-50s are completely underserved in the TV dating space and thought, that’s not right!”
“We want to cure loneliness!” said Georgia. “Recipe For Love is a show with heart and warmth that isn’t about winning and where the audience will deeply connect with the authentic and wise people they will be watching.”
Since premiering on Channel 44, Recipe for Love has achieved national and international recognition. In 2021, Recipe for Love was awarded Program of the Year at the Antenna Awards, which recognises the best in community TV nationally.
Producers Corner Table Productions secured a global distribution deal for the format and subsequently earned a finalist nomination in the Light Entertainment Series Production category in the 2021 Screen Producers Australia Awards! Making it the first community TV program to be nominated and in high-calibre company, too, alongside Gruen, Australian Ninja Warrior and Hard Quiz.
