Fringe Poster Reveal 3

2023 Adelaide Fringe poster revealed

From more than 300 entries, the winning 2023 Adelaide Fringe poster is Fleur de Fringe by Alana Naylor.

The Adelaide-born graphic designer and digital illustrator, now living in Cairns, Queensland, created a piece that is reflective of the transformation felt throughout the city during Adelaide Fringe, making use of simple shapes, inspired by native flora and bold colour to portray the sense of vibrancy and energy synonymous with Fringe.

Adelaide Fringe CEO and Artistic Director Heather Croall said, “The poster competition saw an exceptional amount of talent come forward this year, with artists and creatives from across the country submitting some really incredible works. The brief for 2023 was to represent Fringe as “the sunshine after the rain,” and after much deliberation we decided that Alana’s work encapsulated that message beautifully and would make a spectacular addition to the upcoming season.”

Alana Naylor said, “I never in a million years would have thought I’d win the Adelaide Fringe poster competition. While surreal, it’s an absolute honour to be such a significant and visual part of an event that has been close to my heart for so long. I am very grateful to have been chosen as the winner and need to give a massive shout out to Adelaide Fringe and BankSA for making this dream come true.”
