Hit show Recipe For Love—as seen on C44—is a finalist in the Light Entertainment Series Production category in the 2021 Screen Producers Australia Awards! It’s the first community TV program to be nominated and it’s in high-calibre company, including Gruen, Australian Ninja Warrior and Hard Quiz!
The Recipe For Love concept is the brainchild of co-producers Marion Pilowsky and Georgia Humphreys of Corner Table Productions, who set out to create a format marrying two of TV audiences’ favourite genres for a dating-cooking show exclusively for the over-50s searching for love and an adventurous new chapter of their lives. After winning the OUT OF THE BOX initiative run by Mercury CX and C44 in July 2019, the concept won funding for a six-episode series and, since its premiere on C44 in February 2021, Marion and Georgia have secured a global distribution deal with Media Ranch, won the Program of the Year gong at the 2021 Antenna Awards, and now a nomination for a coveted Screen Producers Australia award!
The Screen Producer Australia Awards celebrate outstanding Australian screen production content produced over an extended two-year period, due to Covid-19, showcasing the skill, imagination and innovative thinking of Australia’s world-class production businesses. The production receiving the highest number of votes in each category will be declared the award recipient at the Screen Forever award ceremony taking place at The Star Event Centre on the Gold Coast on Wednesday 30 March 2022.
