Description
Complete a real multi-camera shoot over three days to get a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of multi-camera production and how to capture live events from multiple angles. Learn the fundamentals of working as a team to shoot and direct live video for TV productions (e.g. news, chat, panel, reality programs), live sport, live events (e.g. concerts, talks, conferences), and streaming (e.g. live YouTube and Twitch shows, esports events).
Over three weekly three-hour sessions, we’ll cover:
- The role of multi-cam production in modern broadcast and digital media
- The roles and functions of different cameras
- Framing the action: capturing all the angles
- The role of the camera operator
- Fundamentals of camera operation
- The role of the director
- Multi-cam editing: live and post
Commitment: Three consecutive 7-hour days (21 hours total)
When: 10.00am to 5.00pm, Tuesdays 8 to Thursday 10 October 2024
