Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington AO, said The Film Maker Studio “stands out as an exceptional initiative in Work Integrated Learning. Through your partnership with Channel 44, students have gained authentic production experience while creating a professional TV series featuring South Australian industry leaders. The project’s impact extends beyond its impressive output of four broadcast-quality episodes, embracing inclusivity through interdisciplinary collaboration between Film and Television and Interior Architecture students, and fostering diversity through thoughtful guest selection and leadership opportunities.”
The Film Maker Studio takes screen buffs and aspiring screen makers behind the camera. In each episode, host Sid Christie interviews an Australian screen professional, including cinematographer David Gregan, colourist and online editor Jade Robinson, scenic artist Johnnie Haratzis and writer/director Vicki Sugars.
Sid explores not only how experienced these professionals got into the screen industry but how they stay up to date and maintain career momentum. They also share inspiring and relatable stories about how they once saved the show or created a look that we all remember.
